Gondola Season: Long Days on the Terrace

The Drunk Cherry terrace on a bright summer day

The chairs went out onto the terrace the morning the snow finally slid off the roof, and they haven't come back in since. Summer in New Gudauri runs on its own clock: early lift lines of hikers and paragliders, long golden afternoons on the square, and evenings cool enough that the blankets we stacked away in May come right back out.

The summer kitchen is simpler by design — wood-fired pizzas, grilled meats and the salads people ask for the moment the temperature climbs. The bar leans colder too: local lager on ice-cold tap, spritzes, and the lemonade our younger guests treat like a food group.

If you're up the mountain this season, come find us right by the Gondola. Boots in summer are still boots — and they're just as welcome under our tables.
